Chuck is a freelance writer, photographer and fly fishing guide. Gale is a photographer and manages our photo business--filing, marketing, sales, submissions, etc. Montana is home but our wanderlust takes us frequently to other spots across the country, especially the Northern Rockies, the Great Plains and the Northwest. 99 99/100% of our time outdoors is spent hunting, fishing or shooting photos; e.g. gathering material for articles, columns or book chapters. Our writing and photos have appeared in a variety of books, magazines, brochures, newspapers and e-zines.

Our award winning articles and photos have received recognition in both the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA) and the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association (NOWA) Excellence in Craft Contests Most recently in 2007 NOWA awarded "Tame Tough Turf" 1st place in the Hunting/Magazine Category; while Trout Through A Guide's Eyes" garnered 3rd spot in the Fishing/Magazine Category; and our photo "Rock Creek" placed 3rd in Photo/Outdoors Category.

In the recent 2008 NOWA Excellence In Craft Contest "Carp On The Fly" published in Montana Sporting Journal was awarded 1st Place in Magazine Fishing Article Category Click Here ; and one of our Pronghorn photos took 3rd Place honors in the Outdoor Fauna category Click Here

In addition to the books at the left and below, Chuck is author of Odyssey at Limestone Creek and contributed several chapters to the anthology Whitetail Tactics of the Pros.
